District Sports Programs and Leagues

Well-structured sport programs and leagues can provide children and adults with opportunities to participate in physical activity that has immediate and long-term benefits. Fun and fitness go together, whether it’s basketball, volleyball, tennis, pickleball or golf that appeals to you. Get out and get active! You may join any of our ongoing sports programs as an individual or as a team.

PICKLEBALL

It’s so popular! Pickleball is the fun new sport that combines tennis and badminton. Players use big ping-pong paddles and play on a court the size of a badminton doubles court with a 3ft. high net. The object of the game is to volley the ball or play it off the bounce. Learn everything you need to know to play Pickleball; the rules, shot placement and game strategy. Singles or doubles teams can play this exciting new game that everyone is talking about!

Ages: 14 years and older
Fee: $75 for 11 week program or $5 drop in fee

ADULT SOFTBALL CO-ED SLO-PITCH

Softball is an outdoor team sport which is very similar to baseball. The primary difference is that softball is played with a larger ball, and softball pitchers pitch underhand. Softball can be played by persons of all ages and skill levels. Bring your friends and form your own team or sign up as an individual.

OPEN VOLLEYBALL

Come and join us just for fun! We’ll set up the volleyball nets so you and your family and friends can play a friendly game! Create a team, or just show up and join in. Get exercise while building your volleyball skills and making new friends.

IT’S A BALL CLINIC

That’s the way the ball bounces! This is the perfect class for kids to learn the basics of sports like soccer and basketball. It’s a great way to practice and gain skills, plus it’s fun!
Location: La Quinta Community Center
Days: Tuesday & Thursday

WOMEN’S SOCCER

It’s time for the Women’s Soccer Fall League to get started!
Come and join us for the great sport of Soccer. The league is open to all-skill levels, or if your just beginning. Sign up alone or bring your friends and enter as a team. It’s a great way to get exercise, meet new friends, have fun and feel fit!

LITTLE KICKER SOCCER CLINIC

It’s the perfect way to introduce your child to the game of soccer! This program provides a fun and exciting environment to learn the basic fundamentals and techniques to get started playing. Your child will gain agility and coordination through drills, games and more!

FANTASTIC FOUR  

Kids will love this program where there is a different sport featured every week. From soccer to basketball, we’ve got it all just for you. There’s never a dull moment as you and friends have fun improving your sports skills, and gaining new ones. So if you are looking for a fantastic time, come join us!

ALL VALLEY 2008 CROSS COUNTRY MEET

Calling all Coachella Valley boys and girls! You are invited to compete in the All Valley Cross Country Meet. Those participants that qualify in each division will advance to the Inland Valley Municipal Athletic Association Meet and then can qualify to advance to the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation Finals. So come join us for this fantastic opportunity and great fun! Registration begins September 1st.
