Open Air Cinema

Spend your summer nights outside watching great family movies. At La Quinta’s Open Air Cinema you can stretch out on a blanket and enjoy two great family movies under the stars on a 20-foot inflatable screen. Bring the entire family and enjoy the fun of “Madagascar 2” on June 12 and “Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius” on July 10. The best part is it’s free!

Coachella Valley Radio Control Club

With more than 200 acres at Pierce and Avenue 54 in Coachella, Canal Regional Park is the home of the Coachella Valley Radio Control Club. Included on site is a 600 x 70 foot asphalt runway, a shaded concrete pit area with tables and chairs, parking to accommodate over 400 cars. The CVRCC has more than 150 members and meets monthly. Summer Programs from the City of La Quinta

National Night Out

Take a stand against crime and drug abuse in this family event that is filled with both fun and valuable tools for safety and drug-free living. The City of La Quinta, Target and the President Gerald R. Ford Boys and Girls Club have partnered to bring the community this one-night event for children of all ages and their families. Enjoy carnival games, jump houses, face painting and more at “National Night Out” and go home with valuable life-saving information.
